Takaishi City

Takaishi is renowned in an old song in praise of the beach (Takashi-no-hama) with its dark-green pine forest making a good contrast with white sand.The city dates back to November 1967. The seaside industrial area has been developed thereafter to take up about half the city area. As of September 2003, 62,061 people in 23,838 households dwell in 11.35km² area.
Located on Osaka Bay, and with the temperate climate and good access to both the downtown Osaka (20 minutes by train) and Kansai International Airport (20km), the city is developing as a convenient and livable residential district.
