| The sumi-e and calligraphy collection from
China and Japan collected by MASAKI Takayuki is gaining attention
worldwide. This museum houses about 1200 pieces, including
stone images of Buddha from China and tea ceremony utensils.
Among them, there are 3 pieces of National Treasure and 12
pieces of Important Cultural Asset. You can find the work
of Ono-no-Michikaze (Tofu) (National Treasure), one of the
three best calligraphists in the Heian period. |
