Tadaoka-jinja Shrine |

| In the precincts of Tadaoka-jinja at the
center of town stand monuments of three generations of the
Takahama family haiku poets with epigraphs of their works.
The first two monuments were built in 1971 by the late-KOJIMA
Baiu, a member of the Haiku magazine 'Hototogisu' , in commemoration
of the presidents of 'Hototogisu' TAKAHAMA Kyoshi and his
son Toshio, followed by that of INAHATA Teiko, Toshio's second
daughter and successor president of 'Hototogisu' in 1989.
Such three-generation monuments are to be found only here
in Tadaoka and in Ashiya City, Hyogo. |
