Ai-land House

Built in the Taisho era as a villa for TANIGUCHI Fusazo who encouraged a weaving industry in Tajiri Town. A combination of European architecture and Japanese style living quarters makes an interesting contrast. The interior is Art Nouveau, which uses stained glass all over the house. (Designated Tangible Cultural Properties in 1996)
